Jonathan Caswell

Jonathan is responsible for identifying management teams across the South that would benefit from the support of a private equity partner in realising their business’ growth ambitions.

Since joining LDC in 2001, Jonathan has originated more than 20 investment partnerships across the Thames Valley and the South. This has included a number of well-known businesses such as Comdirect, Airclaims,  United Legal Services, Iris, Property Software Group and Clifford Thames.

Most recently, he originated LDC’s investments in Message Direct,  DSP, Ashtons Hospital Pharmacy Services, Lucid Group, Paladone and Aquavista – all of which have benefitted significantly from the strategic and financial support of LDC.

Prior to joining LDC, Jonathan spent five years in corporate banking and business development at Lloyds Banking Group after graduating from Nottingham University.

In 2024, Jonathan took home the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at the Thames Valley Deals Awards,  in recognition of his instrumental role in the Thames Valley’s dealmaking community and his impact on the regional business landscape.
